Settings

The Settings screen is the central hub for configuring Cloud Ctrl. Access it from the main navigation menu. Settings is organised into tabs across the top of the screen.

General

The General tab contains your tenant-level configuration:

  • Tenant Name — The display name for your organisation in Cloud Ctrl
  • Tenant ID — Your unique tenant identifier (needed for API access)
  • Display Currency — The currency used throughout the platform for displaying costs
  • Tag Hierarchy — Configure the tag keys used to structure your Tag Hierarchy

Cloud Connections

Manage all your cloud provider connections from a single screen. See the Setup Overview for details.

Users & Groups

Manage platform access for your team. See Access Management for details.

Billing

The Billing tab shows your Cloud Ctrl subscription details:

  • Current Plan — Your active subscription plan
  • Included Spend — The cloud spend included in your plan
  • Overage Rates — Charges that apply when you exceed your included spend
  • Update Subscription — Modify your plan or billing details

API Management

The API Management tab lets you create and manage API keys for programmatic access to Cloud Ctrl.

  • Generate API Key — Create a new API key with specific permissions
  • View Keys — See all active keys with their creation dates and masked values
  • Revoke Keys — Disable API keys that are no longer needed

For more on using the API, see REST API.

Tag Mappings

Transform and normalise incoming usage data using rules. See Tag Mapping Rules for full documentation.

FX Rates

The FX Rates tab allows you to view and override exchange rates used for currency conversion.

  • View Base Rates — See the system exchange rates by month and currency pair
  • Create Override — Set a custom exchange rate for a specific period
  • Manage Overrides — Edit or remove existing rate overrides

FX rate overrides are useful when your organisation uses internal exchange rates that differ from market rates.

Dimensions

The Dimensions tab lets you promote tag keys to become first-class dimensions in the Cost Explorer.

  • Promote — Elevate a tag key to a dimension for use in segmentation and filtering
  • Pin/Rank — Control the display order of dimensions
  • Demote — Return a dimension back to a regular tag key

Dimensions appear as top-level filter and grouping options in the Cost Explorer, making it easier to analyse costs by your most important categorisations.

Webhooks

The Webhooks tab lets you configure HTTP endpoints that Cloud Ctrl will call when specific events occur.

  • Create Webhook — Add a new webhook endpoint URL
  • Enable/Disable — Toggle webhooks on or off without deleting them
  • Track Activity — View the last called timestamp for each webhook

Audit Log

The Audit tab provides a log of user actions within your tenant.

  • Filter by User — View actions performed by a specific user
  • Event Types — Track configuration changes, user management, and data operations
  • Details — Expand individual records to see full event details
