Access Management

Cloud Ctrl provides role-based access management to control who can view and manage your cloud cost data. Users and groups are managed from the Settings screen.

Users

Navigate to Settings → Users to manage platform users.

Inviting Users

  1. Click Invite User
  2. Enter the user's email address
  3. Set their access level
  4. Click Send Invite

The user will receive an email invitation to join your Cloud Ctrl tenant.

Access Levels

Users can be assigned different levels of access that control what they can view and manage within the platform.

Managing Users

From the Users screen you can:

  • View all users and their current access levels
  • Edit a user's permissions
  • Remove a user from the tenant

Groups

Navigate to Settings → Groups to manage user groups.

Groups allow you to organise users and apply shared permissions. Instead of managing access per user, you can assign users to a group and manage the group's access.

Creating a Group

  1. Click Create Group
  2. Enter a name for the group
  3. Add members to the group
  4. Click Save

Managing Groups

  • View all groups and member counts
  • Add or remove members from a group
  • Edit group details
  • Delete groups that are no longer needed

Mailing Lists

Navigate to Settings → Mailing Lists to manage email distribution lists.

Mailing lists are used to deliver scheduled reports and alert notifications to groups of email addresses. Unlike user groups, mailing list members do not need to be Cloud Ctrl users — they can be any email address.

Creating a Mailing List

  1. Click Create Mailing List
  2. Enter a name for the list
  3. Add email addresses
  4. Click Save

Use Cases

  • Deliver scheduled cost reports to a finance team
  • Send budget alerts to department heads
  • Notify stakeholders of cost anomalies
